They met in a great books club, spending their afternoons discussing the clasics. So he wasn't surprised when she called.
"Skinny dahling, would you be a dear and come with me on a little vacation?" she cooed. "Just a few days at a lovely little inn I heard about from Al Franken. He's that funny little man with the big head."
The Skinny White Guy had reservations, but couldn't turn her down.

They got a surprise when they arrived at the lovely little inn.
The Skinny White Guy knew who the owner was... and didn't have a good feeling.

"How long will you be with us?" he asked. "Here is your key. You'll love the place. We pipe National Public Radio through the P.A. system 24/7. Oh, and the only televion stations we can pick up are Public Television. But I'm sure you just love THE ANTIQUE ROADSHOW re-runs. You can participate in the Winter Fund Raiser. There is a pay phone here in the office."

After they checked in she decided to get comfortable. "Skinny dahling, be a dear and run out and pick up a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. I expected there would room service... and I thought Al Franken was a trustworthy chap... is that a lizard on the wall?"

As soon as she was alone in the shower, she heard a noise. "Skinny dahling, is that you?"
She got the surprise of her life...

Drop it you bostard!" she yelled as she pulled her Colt .357 magnum from the towel rack.

"Don't shoot!" he yelled. "I was only checking to make sure you had enough hot water. Besides, Fridays are dress-up days here at the motel and I wanted to show you my costume."

They checked out and spent the rest of their vacation camping. "I just love roughing it!" she said after a light snack of brie and wild mushroom fondue. "Do I look like a real cowgirl dahling?"
"Did I ever show you my rope tricks?" he asked.
